Optimal GEO's Brooks Assumes the Office of MAPPS President
PARK CITY, Utah (July 17, 2019) — Optimal GEO Chief Operating Officer Mark Brooks has been named MAPPS President at the 2019 MAPPS Annual Business meeting in Park City, UT. Brooks previously served a two-year term as President-Elect.
Brooks, a 30-year veteran of the geospatial profession, first joined MAPPS in 2006 and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2015. He has served for several years on the Organization’s Program Committee, been active in the Small Business Forum, and has Chaired the Emerging Markets and Technologies Forum.
“Over the past two years, both Optimal GEO and MAPPS have experienced tremendous growth,” said Brooks. “Serving the employees of Optimal GEO, the members of MAPPS, and the entire geospatial profession as MAPPS President is a great honor.”
Brooks will lead the MAPPS Board of Directors for two-years and will then remain on the Board as Past-President for a two-year term.
