Our professionally certified team has a wide array of expertise in GIS production, database design and management, data modeling, image interpretation, feature extraction, geospatial analysis, multi-source data conflation, and cartography. We leverage our capability to develop software tools and automate processes to optimize production efficiency and improve product quality. Having successfully completed GIS projects for multiple federal agencies including the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Army Geospatial Center (AGC), our team has demonstrated the ability to adapt to customer needs and quickly implement production methods that maintain adherence to client specifications. Optimal GEO is well versed in the implementation of data standards, such as with our extensive experience regarding the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE). Our multifaceted team has also demonstrated its expertise in cadastral data modeling, research and boundary delineation through the development of a multitude of Real Estate Summary Maps (RESM) and databases.
The projects we have completed range from highly detailed, high-resolution mapping of small areas and sites to regional and country-wide mapping to support large scale mapping efforts. In addition to our ability to produce GIS data, we have the capability to perform research and provide detailed reports of both the physical and cultural landscapes of cities, countries and regions throughout the world.
Installation GIS Development
Installation mapping through on-site GPS/GIS data collection is a strength of Optimal GEO’s. This includes working with stakeholders on enterprise wide or installation specific needs analysis and gap analysis to assist in determining the best collection methodologies to produce the best results. While on-site our teams collect all applicable data, conflating GPS and attribute data, CAD and as-builts and existing GIS data to build a comprehensive, highly accurate GIS. In addition, we routinely integrate the GIS with asset management business databases to ensure compatibility and reduce redundancy.
Web and Mobile App Development
Our application development team has experience in creating web and mobile applications for customers that can make their enterprise geospatial data available to field personnel and enable them to visualize, analyze, search, and collect new data. We can produce mobile applications for both the Android and iOS platforms and integrate with back-end services using ArcGIS Server, including the ability to perform offline edits and synchronize them later, if necessary, while also providing an avenue for near real-time updates to Esri databases and visualization systems. Commonly deployed mobile apps allow for the capture of data in the field using the mobile device’s on-board GPS as well as allowing the user to draw point, linear and area features on top of georeferenced imagery. The application development team offers a complete solution encompassing design, development, testing and deployment as well as providing support and training for end-users.
Geo-Intelligence (GEOINT) data comprises the range of geospatial data that serves the tradecraft of spatial intelligence analysis. GEOINT gives the warfighter, the military or policy planner, and the political decision maker critical information, presented spatially, to enable confident actions. Optimal GEO provides services to the GEOINT community that generates, validates, conflates, and analyzes many information sources to create the data the community needs to make their tasks of security and military operation the most effective and safest possible. We are highly adept at developing GEOINT data combining vector analysis and conflation with high resolution terrain elevation data to give the most complete and accurate picture of the area of operation. The graphic portrayal of GEOINT data provides the quantity of information only possible with data integrated into a spatial graphic presentation.
Among the military and intelligence consumers of GEOINT that Optimal GEO serves, are the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the Army Geospatial Center (AGC). Optimal GEO has proven expertise and production experience in an array of GEOINT products for these customers. These products include data conflation and enrichment to create and improve NGA’s Map of the World database as well as development of Esri based databases detailing terrain, cultural, transportation, utilities and hydrology features and analysis to support the warfighter and intelligence officials for AGC.
